Pros and cons of ControlMyWeight app for iPhone and iPad

ControlMyWeight app good for

For the first time in my life Ive tracked what I eat and recorded it on this app and I have lost 21lbs. This app is so easy to use and worth every penny, thank you so much!!
Good app but the calorieking.com mobile web site is better, since it will automatically update all my devices. The database there is massive.
I use the app daily and I like it, but I find I need to add foods more than I would like. It should be easy to expand the database to reduce the amount of individual typing. When I add foods and recipes the app functions well. I tend to repeat meals and foods, so once I have added them, it is easy to keep track.
My dietician recommended this app during my diabetes consultation. She said it was more accurate than MyFitnessPal. Im not sure shes right but it did get me to look closely at both. They BOTH have a high degree of error regarding nutritional data. This one may have less errors only because it has far fewer foods in its database. This said, Im sticking with this one for three reasons: I like the layout better. I dont have to wade through pages of duplicate entries. And by forcing me to enter in nutritional information right from the food label requires me to be more mindful that just a quick barcode scan that may or may not contain updated or accurate information.
Have used variations of CalorieKing for a long time, and have been happy with the apps, and the food database, like how it supports custom foods and repeat meals. Am really happy wth this update, can now access my daily diary from phone, pad, and browser - all sync so no matter where I am I can keep track of my day.
I really love both of there apps (CalorieKing Food Search & CalorieKing ControlMyWeight)... Is there a way or a future update where I could combine the two apps? Its very time consuming to add all the food nutritional information on ControlMyWeight. It would be great to pair or transport the data from "Food Search" to "ControlMyWeight" then edit it if theres any difference. Great Apps. Keep up the good work!!!!!

Some bad moments

Stupid for buying cant get off height weight page!!!! I have a brand new 6s so its not my equipment I read the reviews and bought anyway I work hard for five dollars
So I have used calorie king in book form long ago and I was very happy with it so when I notice they had an app, I purchased it. That was a mistake! I find myself typing in more the of common items that should be there but is not listed. I wish I could get a refund! Very unhappy!
The food search is not very accurate and the database is small. It was also not designed for iPhone plus screen so everything is stretched. Definitely not worth the money
Wow was I surprised to be offered casino chips and products while using this app. I would not recommend this app. I have lost over 80 lbs so far using My Fitness Pal, I remember using Calorie King a long time ago and thought this might be good. Boy was I wrong. I am deleting this piece of trash right after I post this review.
This app is not set up to do fast entries the good data base isnt very good either dont even think it has a barcode scan option not impressed.
I prefer the overall "healthier lifestyle" approach of this app in comparison to myfitnesspal, showing healthy fats opposed to just saying I went over my daily fat intake, for example. Although, there are a couple features I like better from myfitnesspal such as: 1) Portions If I want to add 1/3 or even 1/2 a portion of what is given, it automatically calculates as 0 calories, 0 everything and is not accounted for. 2) Search Options I found it very rare to not find a food or brand I was looking for with myfitnesspal. Today, being my first day on the app, I have even had trouble with finding something as simple as a red grapefruit. I think you guys would benefit from widely expanding your search options by connecting to the web somehow. Bug fixes 1) Dates The app will simply not allow me to put my actual birthday, and automatically goes to the date "April, 14th 1997." This is not my birthday and I wish for it to be more accurate with my recommendations accordingly. I hope you guys take this to consideration as I have paid a hefty 6 dollars for this app.
