Lost 10 lbs in 3 weeks

Wow. This app worth it: It works for me. Lots of foods in calorie calculator what isnt there you can create manually. Includes many brand name foods like McNuggets. It lists recent meals first so with time it learns what you usually eat. It progressively adjusts your calorie goals as you enter your weight at checkpoints. Worth every cent.

Bug fixes and improvements

I prefer the overall "healthier lifestyle" approach of this app in comparison to myfitnesspal, showing healthy fats opposed to just saying I went over my daily fat intake, for example. Although, there are a couple features I like better from myfitnesspal such as: 1) Portions If I want to add 1/3 or even 1/2 a portion of what is given, it automatically calculates as 0 calories, 0 everything and is not accounted for. 2) Search Options I found it very rare to not find a food or brand I was looking for with myfitnesspal. Today, being my first day on the app, I have even had trouble with finding something as simple as a red grapefruit. I think you guys would benefit from widely expanding your search options by connecting to the web somehow. Bug fixes 1) Dates The app will simply not allow me to put my actual birthday, and automatically goes to the date "April, 14th 1997." This is not my birthday and I wish for it to be more accurate with my recommendations accordingly. I hope you guys take this to consideration as I have paid a hefty 6 dollars for this app.

Not for Diabetics

Unfortunately this is of little use to Diabetics. Fundamental to Diabetes blood sugar control is Carbohydrate counts which dictate Insulin requirements. This application shows total carbs alright, but not the number which is critical to insulin bolus calculation, that is total carbs minus fibre count. It is a pity that the author does not allow the application to serve the needs of both calorie counters and diabetic carbohydrate counters.

Crap

5 bucks down the drain. Running IOS 7 all you can do is set up your height, weight and US or metric defaults. No way to get past on iPad or iPhone . Useless, how do I get my money back? Stick with MyFitnessPal!!!!!! Not this crap.

Havent used...

I downloaded the app hoping I could just use it as a calorie counter without making my self look like a fatty gaining weight because Im pregnant. I have gestational diabetes so I need to keep track of what I eat & all my nutritional intake. But having an app that tells you should weigh #lb and your currently gaining doesnt help! Ive looked at several apps to find what Im looking for and have gotten nowhere. But I do plan on using it to help me lose weight after the baby though.

Poor Food Database

I am diabetic and have used the calorie king books and was thrilled when the app came out and even more so when this app came out. However, I dont understand how it is so simple to find food in the search app, but this app is so poor when it comes to that. I would think that the two could be combined. I get annoyed having to switch between the two because I dont like the food database offered in this one.

Works well but still needs improvements

Ive used this app for awhile and I love the Calorie King database. A barcode scanner should be added to make recording food faster/easier. Syncing between an iPhone and iPad would be a nice feature. Syncing with a Fitbit would show activity much easier. The Calorie King app designers have improved this app already but theres room for more.

Calorie counter only

It just counts calories and shows other items like carbs, fat, etc. but it does not really explain the Calorie King program. I suppose I would have to pay a yearly fee to see what the program is. App does not give any advice or provide any instruction. It would probably be helpful if you actually paid the $49 for the program but they say you can use the app instead. I think it was a waste of money. I will go back to Weight Watchers. Their app is much more sophisticated than this one.

Keeping me on track

I found this app very helpful and it seems to be keeping me in check. During a busy day sometimes I tend to forget things by the end of the day. Like this i keep track of my calories, waters, and exercises. Sometimes a visual helps.

Scanner please

I love this app! What would make it perfect would be an update that includes a scanner to scan food products. These scanners are available on most every calorie app out there.

Not the best

Poor food data base and no scanning option. Its very frustrating. I dont usually write a review but I feel like people should know what to watch out for before paying for it.

Excellent feedback

This is exactly the tool I was looking for. I found the CalorieKing app first and was keeping a food diary already. I considered the manual calculations involved with keeping a daily count of calories. I was relieved to discover this app already did all of that with little effort while adding exercise tracking too. It is the total package I wanted to help me lose weight.

Amazingly accurate food database for calorie counting

Lots of apps are available for calorie counting and weight loss. Calorie counting works because it provides great insight into what you are consuming. In Order to be effective, food database needs to accurate otherwise you are just missing the benefit of calorie counting. Calorieking has a the best food database created ever. I am using calorie king since they were selling desktop app in last decade. All other apps are either having crowdsourced data or inaccurate half baked nutrition details. If you are calorie counting, this is the best app you can ever need. Only one thing is missing. Thats iOS 8 th healthkit integration. Wish they add it sooner.

hehedb

it wont let me out the right year I was born in

Good functionality

Ive used Calorie King on my Mac for 10 years. This iOS app brings the core of that desktop functionality to my phone. To get 5 stars it would show the % of each macronutrient on the summary and sync across my phone, iPad & Mac. At least the phone & iPad.

Almost perfect

I like the database but I cook at home a lot and would rather input custom food and recipes and this app gives you that option. I dont care for barcode scanners as I dont eat a lot of packaged foods. Doesnt freeze or crash which is always a great thing. One big thing missing: creating a username and having your diary saved on a server somewhere! I bought a new phone and lost all my journal entries, custom foods and recipes. What a pain!

Love it.

Hands down the cleanest looking and best functioning weight loss app Ive ever tried. The food database absolutely cannot be beat. Love. It.

An Essential Weight Loss Tool

This has been an indispensable tool in my successful endeavor to lose weight safely and quickly.

Wish I hadnt purchased

Ive used some free apps for weight loss in the past and had a lot of success. I decided to try this on a whim because of a friend. The lack of scanner was a huge disappointment to me. I will be switching back to my previous app that is completely free and actually has the necessary basic features.

It is horrible

I cant do anything with this app, paid for it & am stuck!!!
